URGENT: Eviction notice posted at my house

Right after Chase told us yesterday they needed another week to review us for a modification, we received an eviction notice from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Department. We could now be evicted as soon as this afternoon.

We are calling on Sheriff Stanek not to evict my family and holding an emergency planning meeting and eviction defense training tonight at 6 pm.

lease call Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek and tell him not to evict my family.

You can call him at 612-348-3744. Here's a sample script you can use:

"Hi, my name is _______. (if true) I am a taxpayer in Hennepin County. I'm calling to demand that Sheriff Stanek not evict the Ceballos family at 4120 14th Avenue South.  The Ceballos family is in the process of negotiating a loan modification with Chase Bank, but are at risk of immediate eviction. Our public resources should be used to protect our neighbors, not maximize the banks' profits. Please call off the eviction and return to addressing serious crimes in our communities."

Please come to our emergency eviction defense planning and training TONIGHT at 6 pm at 4200 Cedar Ave S, Minneapolis. Please join us as we prepare to defend my home.

We'll also be holding a national day of action on Wednesday at 11:30 am. If you're in Minneapolis, please meet at my house, 4120 14th Ave S, to carpool. If you're elsewhere in the country, send us an email and we'll let you know how you can participate in your area.

Then on Thursday at 11:30 am, we'll march on Sheriff Stanek's office, demanding that he not evict my family.

If you're not already on our eviction defense text loop, please text @occupyhomes to 23559. We'll let you know if an eviction is happening.

Finally, if you can chip in for home defense supplies, it would really help out a lot.

Thanks so much for all your support. We shall not be moved.
